sorry to hear about your troubles but it sounds like you've picked up and moved fwd. Got to respect that.

I did ultimately decide to just stick to factory replacement (for now). We'll see how it goes. Hopefully you get yours up and going soon and get it operating well. (fan of TPI here as well but an "LS" truck motor would smoke a TPI stock vs stock and probably modified vs modified)

Yeah, if I were starting over, LS. If I have to scrap TBI, I'll keep the crate engine and get a beefy TPI system or alternative. There are so many options, just not many that I know of that will be relatively-easy to make compliant with smog checks.

Ah. For some reason I recalled that you had a 400 cid in there
