Seems like Bobby is sick of the BS.... there have been to many a-holes giving him crap, so he is no longer accepting orders and as of 5/16/03 the company is gone, not selling it... just gone...

OK, I have now read through all the Longfield stuff on POR and I believe that I have greatly underestimated the issue.

This is going to have a great impact on anyone running a Toyota front axle.

The sobering truth is this: without Longfields, your Toyota is no better than a Jeep...

it is an excellent example of a smart person fixing a lapse in engineering reason....or maybe just an oversight....either way I think he should sell the business and wreap the rewards for his hard work through licensing or some such thing. I know bobby has done some work with zuk stuff but I would like to see expansion...

just imagine if they could make a birf/axle package that was as strong as a toy and fit it to a zuk axle though....that would be awesome!!

but alas....as soon as I do a major mod....the market opens up and someone comes in with a product....like when I bought my 4.16s and a week later they came out with 6:1s ..... or when I welded my rear diff, and the next day they came out with a mini spool..... you get the idea....as soon as the d-44s are in, my dream product will hit the market for a reasonable price!!

A few different places will continue to be the vendors for the long, bobby will just supply them.

$220 as piece no more cores...

Yesterday evening I talked to him about the longs, and his company. I didn't know he was going to wholesale them to other companies. I thought he was just DONE. THE END. So I asked if I could purchase another set and he said NO. I do not think he will sell to ANYONE but his "true friends" for the next little while. I got the impression that he was sick to hell of us doing what we do and him, his product, and his reputation being on the line.

I think he is done selling anything to the public first hand. At least his product will still be available somewhere, I ain't gonna pull my front axle out NOW. I'm basically done with my rig.

Damn straight! I used to bust a couple birfs every UROC until I started running 'em. I did most of the 2002 season, Supercrawl, and many trips to Moab w/ 38's on the same set. I even broke an inner axle shaft once, but the Longfields are still going.

I saw that you explained your comments after Bobby exploded but I think he had already had enough at that point...

Just do what all pro does hybred 60 they use D60 nuckles,u-joints, and front discs. And you still keep the housing. But like you guys haven't heard of that yet.
