I tried holding out forever hoping they would actually start making a truck again but they let us jeep guys down year after year when it comes to a truck so I finally ended up getting an 06 Tundra. If they ever make one I'll still be on the waiting list.

Fwiw there is a world of difference between an aev brute kit, and the vehicle in sixstringsteves original post.

Coming from a guy who has fought for Toyota all his life on the yoat vs jeep thing, I've been sold on jeeps ever since the 4door rubicon. It is soooo capable, yet so nice to drive, yet still easily modified. Thumbs up jeep! If they came out with a truck version it would make it all that much cooler. What saddens me is the down hill slope Toyota is taking in the capiblity department. As "cool" as and "fj" cruiser is, I could never bring myself to get one knowing that I could get a Jk with 4 real doors, a removable top, solid axled front, lockers on both ends and factory 4:1 low range... A neat vehicle in my book even for a diehard toyota guy. But for now I'll stick to my 97 REAL land cruiser that has most of those things :D

sorry to break off on a tangent, yes, I too might find myself on a waiting list for a jktruck someday, freakin cool

I may be somewhat biased but....

Being an owner of a 4 door Rubicon, I can honestly say I don't think there's a better all-around off road vehicle on the market today. Sure there's room for improvement, but for straight out of the box fun nothing can touch it.

I was at a party last EJS with the Jeep engineers and they had that hidden, along with the green JK portal rig for the upcoming unveiling. Pictures don't do it justice. It is beautiful and they spared no expense building it.

I agree with you there! If I had to buy a new vehicle for my crawler, it'd definitely be a 4-door jk, I like those a lot.

I would a agree if I had a ton of money I would buy 4dr jk... My best friend has one and it is sweet, but i could not feel right wheeling a 35k rig.

And this is the only thing that would stop me from getting one, the price. For the price of a 4 door rubicon unlimited you could buy many other vechiles and upgrade them to be the same if not better and spend less. I do think the JK 4door is the only jeep i really like and the options from the factory are outstanding but, in the end you'd be better off buying something else and moding it for less

The truck in the original post if pretty dang cool. The one on KSL is pretty sweet, too.

However, I am in the "dreaming of a JK" crowd! Everyone bring me your sick dogs so I can afford one this fall when my daughter gets her license (she'd get Monty- not the Jeep.)
