np231 input shaft issues

so a while ago, i picked up an np231 from a member here on the board that was complete with a SYE kit on it. it sat patiently until tonight when i decided to tackle the t-case swap job. The t-case with the SYE has a 21-spline input shaft on it. While pulling the non-SYE'd case tonight, i couldn't help but wonder what words would come from my mouth if the t-cases had different inputs.

fast forward about an hour, and sure enough, I had one case with a 21-spline input, and the other with a 23-spline input. fanastic.

so where do i go from here? I know an input shaft swap is possible, but is that the easiest solution? can i swap the SYE kit from one case to the other? should i sell the case and but another SYE kit? unfortunately, money is tight, so the cost of the solution does come into play.

Pick the best case of the two, and swap over needed parts. The SYE will work on either case.

X2! the internals are the same other then the input gear and the SYE. I bought a blown Tera-low case just to steal the sye and 2 low. was pretty simple to tear them both down and swap parts. I personally would probably put the SYE into the case your removed(you know it works), and it will only cost you a bottle of RTV, fluid and seals if you want to reseal it now.

Yep, as said before, just use all the good parts to build one case. They are pretty simple inside. (Id take the help for Pizza!)
