Went there on Friday to see what they had, a lot of crap, as most of you know they sort of suck now and you have to be lucky to find anything good. Well i found someones homemade gas tank for an Early Bronco with the sender unit, internally baffled, and has a return bung for when i go EFI. At least im 90% sure its for an EB. Cost me $80. A brand new one from one of the EB parts places is $320 Luckily i know what the aftermarket ones look like and whoever built it modeled it after one. Can anyone who is good at math tell me how many gallons this will hold with a picture of the dimensions? Also need to figure out how to mount it now. He has some wierd brackets welded on in 4 spots, anyone know what gets attactched to these brackets?

Alright....

Total volume of tank (assuming it was a rectangle)
20.5"*14.5"*21.25"=6316.5625 in^3

Minus the angle on bottom
1/2(5.5"*11")*21.25"=642.8125 in^3

Minus rect at top
5"*2"*21.25"=212.5 in^3

Total Volume 5461.25 Cubic Inches

=23.64177489 US gallons
=89.49385327 liters
=378.2683983 cups
=18156.88312 teaspoons

:D

Ha thanks. That was quick, i need to learn that formula. Its probably a hair less since where the sender is its recessed along the whole tank but i didnt want to make the drawing overly complex. 23 gallons is what the Aftermarket tanks are though. Thanks again.

I thought a gallon of gasoline wieghed in at 6.8 pounds per gallon
roughly 7 pounds...

I thought I was right but I'll have to check again...

Whats harsh? Me loves my tweakster...

Oh yeah, and a gallon of gasoline weighs 5.8-6.8 lbs, changes according to the type and quality... Water is 8.333 lbs so I would assume that heavier gas has more aqua like 7-11? Who knows... :D

It's been around for a while it's called the adventure club card. It knocks off 4 cents per gallon on the pump price. The rockcrawling thing is just a dumb advertisement for the card.
