Here's my version of the weekend.

Pulled in Friday night at Slick Rock campground and met a guy named Chris from southern California. He was driving a very sweet buggied zuk. He talked me into going with them to see the Proving grounds. A local by the name of Steve showed us where the area was. Unfortunately it was late and raining so we only got a peak at upper proving grounds and I only seen the entrance to lower. While we were there, Chris found out that a problem he previously had with his t-case was still there. He dropped the case out of his buggy that night and they found the problem and fixed it Saturday.

Saturday morning, Wayne showed up at camp looking like he just got done with a 4 hour drive. :D We headed into town to see if anybody would join us on Rusty Nail, but everybody seemed to have other plans. :(

So we hit rusty nail...

Go Wayne! :D

After getting up the second climb on Rusty, we waited and watched another group come up behind us. They decided to move the rocks over into the wedge climb and go up that way. One of them wasn't as fortunate. This jeep went over almost a full roll. Side, hood, side.

It rolled all the way over onto the steeper climb.

When we got onto the golden spike, we decided to play around on the crack

After Rusty Nail, we decided to go play on Potato salad for a while. There were quite a few people over there.

When I got back to camp that night, I looked under my rig to see if I could find out what was going on. I could feel some major differences in how it was handling and just didn't feel right. Found out that my upper CA mount on the axle had ripped off. Well... I searched around for a way to weld it up while in Moab. Moab Off-road was closed, I couldn't find Steve or anybody local at the time. Nobody at camp had an onboard welder...

So I loaded up and headed back to Price. Got home, pulled it apart, cleaned it up, and welded that sucker on for good, and headed back to Moab. Not bad considering we left at 6:30 pm and got back to Moab around 11:45 pm. :D I slept good that night!

On Sunday I met back up with Chris & his father from Cali, Steve, Austin, and a couple other Moab locals to run Pritchet. We had a great time. Very good group of people!

Chris kept putting on a good show for us. He liked taking wacky lines that would put him on his side or close. It was very entertaining to watch him drive.

We took lunch and played round at the area just before Rocker knocker. Chris was all over that place.

When we got to rocker knocker, Chris decided to take the boulder line on the left and crawled it! What a good show! :D

I forget his name, but he made easy work of Rocker knocker in his toyota. He was a bit nervous of the angle though. :D

Cool photo of Steve on the sidehill just before rockpile

The rockpile. Took me a couple tries this time. I was hopping really bad on it and had to save it once. Come to find out, my rear shock hoop was destoyed sometime earlier...

What's up man! Nah, you made it look easy too! :D I like your rig. It's functional. :D

I would have talked to you guys more that day, but we were dead tired and hungry. We just showed up to see what was going on and leave. Maybe we'll hook up and do a trail sometime.
