I need to meet a guy for an off-road test-drive, he's coming from Reno and would like to cut some distance off his drive. Anybody know of an area around, say, Wendover or Elko? Doesn't have to be a "trail", just someplace with rocks/hills/whatever.

There are some roads and trails just north of Wendover. Probably take the bonneville speedway exit and meet him at that hokey truckstop.

There's got to be some pretty good stuff as you get towards Elko. I always wanted to check that area out.
There's also some very interesting terrain on the west side of Bendover. It looks like it's traveled a little last time I drove through there.
Thanks everyone! I considered Knolls, but figured I'd like to find a spot that would cut more of his drive off. Sounds like North of the speedway will work out pretty well.

Carl, Shafter might work. Or somewhere on Pequop mt. Also, right before wells, there are some roads off the Mills exit. 8 Miles east of wells.
