Hello people I plan on taking my samurai to the sand dunes on easter weekend and am wondering if street licensing is sufficient for this off highway use, I know a flag will be required and I can arrange for that, just wondering what else I might need? Thanks.

you will be fine with normal license plate, and yes a flag will be required.

I've asked the people in the pay booth, and they told me that I could drive on the dunes without a flag. They said only ohv need a flag. It is still a good idea to have a flag.

I was there two months ago, and got a similar story to an above poster. I was told by the booth person, and the people in the visitors center that flags are only required on OHV's not street legal vehicles.

Regardless, having a flag is a good idea.
