SO I have a couple questions for those of you who have done it...

-COST.....what are they charging you??

-PAIN....was it a PITA to change from a normal registration to a OHV?

I havent registered the Scout in several years and I figure my luck is probably running out.

anyone??

mine was easy, I can't remember the cost, but it wasn't much. I don't have to carry on-road insurance now, so it saves a good bit of cash.

make sure to take pictures for their files, and to show that it has been "substantially modified". That is one of the requirements.

I had mine changed last year. I had to take them a couple pics & I also had to take my rig down to the dmv with me. the lady told me that she had to witness me installing my new vin # (it was an aluminum sticker) other than that it was easy, 30.00 if I remember right

mine was easy too, I just went into the DMV and asked for the paperwork to switch a vehicle over to ohv they gave me the paperwork with a little aluminum vin tag that i had to rivet to the firewall on my rig I also needed to have a cop do a vin inspection to make sure my rig wasn't stolen or anything like that. I think mine was around 30 bucks too...
