I have a 92 Wrangler and I went to do the air box mod today and when I opened the air box I found that there was oil all over the filter which had definetly came from the ccv valve form where the location of the oil was on the filter. Has anyone else had this same problem??? What did you do to fix the problem?? Any input is greatly appreciated

Its called blow by and happend regularly on the 4.0 with higher mileage. I get a little bit. Part of it can be that your vacuum hose are clogged and if I'm not mistaken the valve cover has a bunch of build up. Check out www.jeepin.com. It should still have a write up on it.

There is a rubber fitting that has a line running from the valve cover to the intake. Check to see if its all gummed up.

Blow by...very common on the 4.0. Clean the line running from the valve cover to the intake box. Also, make sure the line from the back of the valve cover to the manifold is not blocked. If that one plugs up, the motor starts pushing everything out the vent at the front of the cover.
