This chassis must have a story. To have a professional build done and do front leafs and a steering box, old school must be an understatement. And never finished! Has this changed hands a lot?

Must have been built early 2000s?

I'd guess even earlier..."Pinky" was the rig that Shannon drove in the 1996 TTC, and I don't think he built the leaf-front chassis for very many years after that....

Also, that's a Toyota gas pedal in the picture, not a brake pedal. :)

They had a few chassis they built around 2002-04 that had leafs in the front, IIRC one of them was at the St George UROC Comp... a lot of people poopoo'd on the idea, but if I remember right they actually worked decently well.

I know I took some pics of the rig at tech inspection, I may have to dig out those old photos!

I bought it off a guy in Vegas who had it a while. I think the guy before him bought it as a roller from Campbell's shop and it sat for years. The chassis is brand new. It's a really cool car. The pics don't do it justice at all. Those old comp buggy with leads did work really well.
It is so close to being finished now it kills me. Also very minimal money to finish it up.

I'm with Greg on placing this in the 02 to 04 era, when the Liberty hood was manufactured, and I remember leaf spring rigs at that time. My guess is it was built for a customer that fell through. Still a Campbell chassis with some decent parts. Real surprised it was never finished.

the same chassis in the 2 seat version worked really well. this one is 112 inch wheelbase. should climb very well. someone could have a pretty sweet buggy for well under 20k total by the time its done. the pictures I have don't do it justice. once I get the front end back together il roll it outside and get some better pics. if it doesn't sell il have it done by end of summer and will be wheeling it. would just be better for me to liquidate at the moment.
