Old School Rock Crawl carnage?

Just wondering if anyone else had as much carnage as I did. Lets hear what you broke. I'll start.... Front inner axle shaft (dana 60), sheared off a couple steering box bolts, demolished my hood and tube fenders, broke both hood latches, transmission won't go into park, engine won't start= tipped over and tried to keep going and it lost a couple quarts of oil out the exhaust.... not good. Had a blast doing it all though.

Pealed my rear diff cover back 2 or 3 times. Cracked my oil pan. Crazy death wobble.

Stratton, the death wobble didnt seem to bother you! The comments from on top of the Tuff Country were funny each time your tires would go crazy. It seemed like it didnt bother you at all!

I sheared all 4 bolts on my front drive shaft flange on the axle side the first obstacle. Blew a hole in my back left tires sidewall on the next obstacle. Crashed into tyler jumping the gap in the first round of rockcross mangled my front left and eventually caused my engine to die from lack of air because the intake tube got pushed over. Also wrecked what was left of my drivers side rear quarter and back door

I feel bad for ya. You totaled out the 4 runner twice, both times at OSRC.

Fuel delivery issues all weekend, electrical issues with the cooling fan, hydro lock after 30 minutes of being upside down and covered that pretty red 4 runner in oil (still feel bad about that ), and lost a tailgate. All pretty minor issues, but I definitely had more wrench time than seat time this weekend. Thanks everyone who helped us out!

Sounds just like the old days competing! I damn near went to OSRC, but now i'm kinda glad my junk is setting on the trailer ready to go out instead of needing fixed LOL. Maybe next time.

But we were pretty good putting your truck back together in record time. There was that 15 minute birf/diff swap in St George, you didn't even have to take break down time

Pretty much no one made it through my course on Day 1. Justin, your hood latch is still there, near the exit gate hahahah , I can't believe you made it through with how smushed up in that slot you were. Good show!

It wasn't pretty on Day 2, either, but at least a few guys made it through... UGLY! and totally entertaining! Chris Mercer, WEROCK F-Toy champ and sticker-er extraordinaire, got through, but it was ridiculous how twisted he got, sky high nose, sideways through the crack, burning oil, two wheels in midair, but he got it done.

The rock race was pretty sweet, quick bracket format: 4 cars heads-up, fastest 2 went on, slowest 2 went out until someone won. Went a LOT faster once 3 of the 4 cars on course broke-- well, 2 broke, and 1 saw the driver break his shoulder! on his own SEAT (Delta is dangerous for right shoulders I think... ), leaving only Stratton to continue on... and after Casey Beach blew up his steering pump, Carl Nielsen ended up racing against Aaron Hair's Rockwell rig--- which promptly took itself out after a lap, leaving Carl to win the unlimited race.


Kind of a mellow time this go-round, which I was happy to enjoy.

Just as a side note, I didn't think I'd ever have too much fun dodging cones, but the whole weekend was a blast! Already looking forward to the next event. Didn't have much of a chance to take pics as the spotter, but here are a few.

Getting home last night was fun too. I wanted to get the jeep back in the garage as I won't be able to figure out the issue for a week or two. Had to park the truck perpendicular in the garage to use as an anchor point to winch the jeep back into the garage.

The crack got me as well, fun times. Liked the free lift. Broke a new Warn premium hub fuse. Fellow competitor hooked me up with a loaner drive flange..

Yeah sorry about that man! I had no idea what happened and all the sudden I saw your driver tire up on my passenger tire! I'll have to see if the GoPro caught that all! I felt way bad about the damage when I saw your rig....all I had was a little paint scuffed

Yours was about the only entertaining descent of the wall that I saw. Kami's ascent was pretty funny, I think she forgot about the brake pedal. Thanks to Mike Farmer of Maxxis for catching it on video.

No worries tyler. So what happened was you passed me then i really got on it and i thought you were going jump the gap so i was floored trying to make sure i cleared the jump and right at the last minute through the dust i saw you crawling over it, i swerved to the right and landed right next to you as you came out of the ditch I couldnt go anymore to the right and you were headed to the right so i ended up driveing up onto you tire and your front bumper went into my head light and and crunched my fender and hood. My tranny poped out of gear so i sat there for 15 secs trying to figure out why it was not going by then i wa way behinde. it was so fun though
