Her screaming all the way down the face was priceless too

I took about 10 pics of her coming back down, and if you play them real fast, it looks like video. Ill try to get them posted in the next few days.

I've never seen the course first-hand. is the tower of doom too steep to crawl? Was anyone able to crawl it, or does everyone have to hit it with speed?

Here's my list, on my first obstacle I broke a short side Dana 60 u-joint which took out the ears of both the inner and outer axle shafts. After begging and borrowing parts (thanks Casey and Jeff!), two obstacles later my transmission mount gave up the ghost causing my transmission pan to slam down into my skid plate and puncture the pan. After a long night of wrenching we were ready to go for Saturday, which came off without a hitch!

The weekend was awesome, I can't wait until next May! Actually I think Craig should do another one in October!

Thanks again to Craig, and all the judges!!

We lucked out and didnt break anything this year, but both other ftoys had some minor issues. Brian (yellow one) had to repair the master cylinder. It had a burr inside that was causing the front brakes to stay engaged. And Eli (bare metal) broke both motor mounts, and on his final course (#6) got wedged in the crack and broke the left rear axle and taco'd his rear housing. Seeing that kinda brought back memories

The green toyota in the stock class blew a front brake line and trashed a driveline. The pretty 4runner (with the funky looking oil spots all over it:)) only has some nice new scuff marks on the side. Apparently, she drives better than I do.

No worries tyler. So what happened was you passed me then i really got on it and i thought you were going jump the gap so i was floored trying to make sure i cleared the jump and right at the last minute through the dust i saw you crawling over it, i swerved to the right and landed right next to you as you came out of the ditch:eek: I couldnt go anymore to the right and you were headed to the right so i ended up driveing up onto you tire and your front bumper went into my head light and and crunched my fender and hood. My tranny poped out of gear so i sat there for 15 secs trying to figure out why it was not going by then i wa way behinde. it was so fun though

Oh gotcha. Yeah I didn't think you were going to take the gap jump, nor did I think your motor had you so close to me! I knocked my trans into N as well when passing you just before all that happened haha! I nose-dove really hard and it kicked it down into N, I thought I lost my trans for a few seconds.

It happened right about here LOL

Good job on winning the legend class Tyler. I'm amazed on how well your rig does.

Thanks Justin! I'm amazed too especially being as heavy as it is! I'm still jealous of your course 2 (The Crack) finish though, that was the only course I didn't finish on. I was on course 1 at the time and supposed to be spotting when I watched your finish! It was awesome to say the least!

I had already completely forgotten about having to touch up the master. Good for another couple of years of comp now! Had a blast, and now fully understand the phone call saying "got wedged in a crack, blew up everything in the rear end, and need to get some axle housings on order!"

Unfortunately the last rock obstacle on the rock cross track tossed me around a little when I landed. Thought I would of had a better story for breaking my thottle cable at the peddle and shoulder blade.. ;(

So sorry about that  I couldn't believe it would spray back like that, the runner was practically behind us. I couldn't believe how covered it actually was. Definitely got an oil bath.

No worries. I never painted the cage in it, and wasnt sure how to keep it from rusting....now I know. :D

Yeah......my Jeep was loving life there. I don't have enough gearing between 4-lo and 4-hi and didn't want to try shifting real quick before the rocks. Needless to say I dumped 4 gallons + of antifreeze on the first heat and had my engine temp passed the 280 mark on my gauge. The second race it just said "screw you" and killed over before the finish.

A few good pics here....
