OME N85 vs 60062

I currently have the OME Dakar spring on my truck. Not sure what I was thinking at the time, but I put on Bilstein shocks rather then the OME shocks. Lately, I have been considering swapping out the billies for the OME.

Been looking at the shocks and wondering about the two styles mentioned in the title. I realize The 60062 says a more sport oriented drive, but was looking for a little more info on the two.

I like to wheel, but also like to have a good ride, well as much as possible.

The NitroCharger Sport shocks (60062) are amazing. I ran them on the rearend of my '06 Xterra and they gave an incredible ride; handled bumps at speed, flexed great, firm positive feel but never stiff. Awesome valving and technology into these shocks..

They felt great on my Xterra loaded and unloaded. I'd imagine you would see the same results on your pickup since they are valved and tuned for specific vehicles.

True. I also think the ride would improve being that I have the OME springs as well. I know they are tuned to work with them as well.

I really wish I could remember what my thinking was going with the billies over the OME...

I'm not sure what number model I have, but they're the OME notrocharger shocks Kurt recommended. I absolutely love 'em. Tons better than my 5150 billies. OME really has a great lift for the tacomas. I spent 3x the money on my last tacoma, but I feel the ride/handling of this one is at least twice as good.

I checked out Kurt's site. The OME kits he has listed all have the sport version. Guess that tells me which one to get :)

Yup, very few scenarios in which I recommend the older Nitro over the new Sport. The Nitro is/was a great shock but the Sport is that much better, valving was improved, less fade, guard housing is plastic now which doesn't chip and rust. I put the 60062's on my Tacoma the day they landed in the US, never had a reason to look back. I wouldn't necessarily pull good N85's off to swap but if your current shocks need love, the 60062's are a no brainer imo.
