Honestly, most people who drive 4x4s (jeeps, suv's, trucks, whatever) will never put them into 4wd. A lot of people will lift their rig for the look alone, with zero intention of wheeling it. They don't know the first thing about axles or strength.

No that renegade is a cj7. But seriously that thing is a waste of money and a perfectly good vehicle. Some people just have more $$$ than sense!

Thats a CJ-7 ( the 5 has different cut doors)

I did see this moster was taken offroad... I would wheel the piss out of it!!! Looks like fully hydro with some left over mechanical steering to keep it legal on the street. Agreed, TOO MUCH MONEY, and looks waaaay top heavy!

I think there are 8 bolts holding the center caps on. It's definitely a D30 front axle.
 
With all the money into the second rig. You would think they would be able to replace the rusted muffler. Mall crawling is a rough sport. Don't laugh, most of our rigs fail there also.:rofl:
 
the steering on the "only Jeep with 54 inch tires" rig seems way scary!
I'm no steering specialist, but in my opinion the 12" tall drag link mounting bracket welded to what appears to be a stock tie rod isn't what I would would have done.....
