so I went on a Disaster Relief cleanup today in Grantsville... seems some mud flew down a hill into this guy's basement, to a depth of about 8". After I got done there I decided to go take some pics of the burnt mountainside towards I-80. And then I saw an open gate, right through the charred stuff so of course I had to go.

That was interesting! Lots of mud and huge swaths of runoff rivulets and deposits.... a strange piece of paved road way the hell up in this field.... and then weird rocky ravines I had to drive through..... in the Burb. :D

I made it all the way through, flexing away, and was on a short spur back to the nice, graded path, when I smacked the sh*t out of a big rock I missed when I was gawking at the wasteland..... and promptly bent the hell out of the steering stabilizer... didn't munch the tierod though. :D yays!

So now the Burb steers kind of slow to the left, and superfast to the right. Guess I'll have to fix that, huh. :D :D

Saw a sweet helicopter too.

HAHAH!!

For those unfamiliar w/G'ville, Hickey had to drive through a hellacious amount of mud to get from I-80 to work. That looked like it was pretty intense!!! Mud a foot and a half up the fences, and it poured over the road into the flats east of 138.... Pretty damn cool.

Brett, you will have to wait until I find another #$#^$)*& USB cable to upload those pics. :(

Clipped it with the left front while doing about 50mph up AF Canyon (main road). It flipped up and hit the webbing just to the drivers side of the pinion bolts.... there were shrapnel marks on everything back there.... it made a small gouge in one rib on the 14b :greg:
