Anyway I took it for a test drive today and realized that I still have a ton of work to do. My syncro in third is completely wiped out and first is not far behind. I ran Poison Spider-Gold Bar Rim-Gold Spike without a clutch twice
and the last Moab trip I did Hell's Revenge without a clutch in the middle of the night--which brings me to my next point: DON'T EVER attempt escalator at night without a clutch and don't ever fall for the "lifetime warrantee" junk
) The trans is really my only complaint now and I have a good W56 so that swap will be my next project. It will be a great time to install another case in front of my 4.7's and get a decent crossmember.
Park brake is in and works awesome and the CB is in again and working too. the ol' 20R is still running great, but its getting weak and I'm sure the timing chain is barely holding on. I keep thinking about how nice a 2RZ or 3RZ swap would be :greg:
