I really haven’t done much with it. I put 38” mile star Patagonia on it and I like them for what they are

Also put a hydro assist ram on it since the psc steering box was already prepped for it


The transmission has sucked since I bought it. Occasionally it gets stuck in 3rd gear. If you shut the jeep off and turn it back on it goes back to normal. Also shifts really really hard occasionally and sometimes feels like it goes into neutral then slams into gear. Definitely annoying but keeps going back to working so I haven’t had it diagnosed. Lol

it doesn’t get driven a whole lot but we have been happy to have it

I recently got a new zeon 12k winch from Greg for it. The OLD harbor freight winch left a lot to be desired. I’ve also hated the boner bar bumper since I got the jeep.

I posted the bumper for sale. I was thinking a motobilt bumper or something but no bites so today I decided to try to mod this bumper

My biggest gripes were the boner of course and how far off the front of the jeep it sits

That’s been a long time coming. 🤣🤣

I decided 2.5” could come off the frame if I took a little off the bumper too. I decided to just remove the factory mounts and reuse them

I cut off the little vacuum canister mount, moved it back and rewelded it on.


The old winch had in cab controls as well as a warn wireless controller. Wires EVERYWHERE. So it took some time to figure them out and clean it up. I’ll probably retain the in cab but not the wireless.

This is as far as I got today but I think I’m going to be much happier with it.

It got really cold and really dark really quick.



That is obviously the old broken fairlead. It just had a bolt on fairlead mount. I’ll probably just reuse it.

The wife wants a small bull bar type tube on it. I kind of like it as is. We will see

Little out of practice but it will probably hold


Had a little issue with clearance on the bumper for the winch. They have a cut out on the right side but not the left. Just had to take the weld down on their cut out to clear. Other side needed more. I considered matching their cut out but decided it wasn’t worth the effort. I just cut a hole out with a hole saw and it worked pretty good.

The KC led fog lights that were in the bumper were burned out. Just got some amazon cheapos to replace them

I still can’t decide on a small bar or not so it’s staying as is for now.

Moab for thanksgiving. Hopefully I don’t need the new winch. 🤣

Bumper looks good. Is there any way you can mount if lower, down into the frame rails a bit? That would definitely help with controlling heat by not limiting airflow through the cooling stack.

It would take a lot more work then I’m willing to do on this bumper. If heat does become a problem I’ll probably just go a different route all together
