Opinions please...

my neighbors selling an '82 longbed w/ 230,000 miles. the bed has a little bit of rust and thats about all the rust. the brakes dont work, but thats not too hard to fix. If i can get him under $500, should i go for it? What should i be looking for? here's a few pics. i can get more if need be. Thanks

make sure you crawl under the rig and look on the inside of the frame rails. I know Utah doesn't have quite the rust problem as some states, but years ago, I was looking at minitrucks of similar vintage in the NE (serious rust issues) and what I found was many had rusted frames that was mostly visible from the underneath/inside.

However, it depends on what you plan on doing with it. If you plan on making it a buggy, maybe any rust on the frame doesn't really matter to you...

well, checked out the inner frame rail and there cleaner than my shorts :0. Looks like im going to be getting another vehicle. Thanks guys
