So I have some inlaws in Orem/Provo in search of an honest and affordable mechanic for their 96 accord. They have been taking it to some shop on byu campus that is just as bad as a jiffy lube and I told them I would ask around. The problem now with it is that the temp has been hitting the red every so often and not all the time and the coolant has been at the same level so no leaks. What they need is an official diagnoses done before they want to bring it up to my dealership to get the work done.

I think their reasoning was they want to have it diagnosed and then save up and have me buy the parts cheaper before having it worked on and they didnt want to chance driving it on the highway and have it overheat just yet.
