Pallets...what to do with them?

I'm starting to accumulate wooden pallets at my shop. I probably have at least a dozen of them, and I don't want to keep stacking them up. I also prefer not to save them for firewood, as I hate dealing with the nails. Does anyone know a place that buys these things back? Or does anyone have a need for some pallets and will come and take them from me?

Thanks!

Fire comes to mind.

I have neither a way to get them someplace to burn, nor a desire to hang around long enough to rake up all of the nails.

Maybe i'll just post them on craigslist. that's a good idea.

No, that Cody would have drug them to the doorstep of the most recent d-bag on my shit list and lit them on fire...with poop underneath.

Way back in the day when I worked at Royal Wholesale Electric in Orem, we'd have people come buy them from us all the time. One company would come by once a month, other times we'd let Jose and his buddies take some.

Any place that sells pallets will also buy (or collect) them.

For anyone reading, please don't burn pallets on ANY public land. Burning pallets on public land is highly discouraged because it leaves behind all the hardware.

Its also becoming illegal in many areas, AF Canyon, Sand Dunes, etc all prohibit pallets or wood with nails in general.

Cody, I list them here on RME and they are usually gone in a week. I don't ask any money for them, while I know there are pallet buyers its easier for me to just load up the good, bad and ugly pallets with someone in need of random wood :D

750 E. Ft Union Blvd (7200 S.). They are behind my shop (Salt City Brew Supply), so you can come any hour of any day. I think there are about a dozen.

I'll also list them in the freebee section of RME.

I learnt when I was a youngun that a 5-6 pallet fire can cause the front fascia of a '78-81 Camaro to droop if parked to close. Could be a fun exercise to replicate. Who's got an F-car donor?
