What have you guys used for your 14 bolt rears disc park brakes? I see that I can use a 76-78 Cad eldorado caliper. These wont be easy to find. What about a park brake on the 205 t-case? I beleive I remember seeing something about these a long time ago.

I know some do a line lock. My concern with that would be if you had a hydrolic failure causing the need for an emergency brake, it could get interesting.

I'm going to be using the caddy calipers I got from Shawn. Driveline brakes are rumored to be illegal, but... old Jeeps? Land Cruisers?

If you end up making something, like.. a bracket? :D let me know, i'd go that way but I'm lazy and I don't want to make one.

Tom Woods has some kind of ebrake on his site.. let me see if I can find that.

EDIT: found it. Center section of the home page, towards the bottom. Looks like about $300 for eveyrthing you need. :( Or make your own?

Answerman!

I knew I should have just PM'ed you. You are always full of answers. I wonder if sixb would be interested in building something like those. I need two. He could use two. You could use what? Four or more? Ha ha!

hahah I could use two. :D

I am hoping the Caddy calipers hold enough to get me past the inspectors. :D Need to rig some ebrake cables yet though. HOPEFULLY the stockers will work, they're plenty long.

i pulled a small break like cylinder off a subaru 4x4 car.
looks like a line lock.
1 line i 2 out.
going to tap it into my rear line and use a toyata park break cable.
if you look for one its right next to break booster and has a cable that runs to the back of motor right by trans.

Im kinda in the same boat, so i guess i'll ask here...

I've got a 10.25 rear end with discs, but no E-brakes. Im looking for new calipers also, (el dorado) but dont know if there are any others that might work/ be easier to find. I dont want to go the driveline or line-lock routes, so i pretty much gotta find a set of e-brake calipers.

sooo, not to highjack, but more along the lines of the original post, do we know of any other e-brake calipers that will work? on a 14bolt for 4554x4 or on a 10.25 for me?

thanks in advance for any input.
