paving or asphalt on driveway-any RMEs do this?

The war on weeds is a losing one, and hauling gravel in my 1/2 ton didn't work out as well as i'd hoped. So thinking of paving the north side of the driveway where it's not paved. Of does anyone here do asphalt?

curious about this myself. My concrete bid was for 54 yards. Not sure if asphalt would be cheaper or not?
