ok I have a 98 vehicle that I need to get the exhaust manifold off without breaking too many bolts...

So here is the question which penetrating oil works the best out there? I know wd40 doesn't do that well.... so lets hear it....

and I have neither....

I have to pull the manifold off to replace the rear two bolts so it will pass IM and the damn downpipe has the two bolts built in to the manifold and FORD wants tooooo much for a new manifold so I can't damage anything...

I went out and sprayed the heck out of the bolts with Aero kreol that I just happened to have stolen off my brother a few months back and forgot I had... we will see what good that does for me...

I prefer PB blaster for a good soak and then if that doesn't work then go for the hot jobber!
Keep it just shy of glowing.

my brother has a shelve full of it... got it when he worked for conway freight... not sure where you can get it but I think I saw it at checker...

start it and let it run until the manifold is hot and your penetrating oil is smoking and break them free .....

Kroil Oil rocks... put that into you best enemy's master cylinder and the brakes just start leaking from almost every seal in a week or so..

--- or so I have been told by a person who heard about it from another person that doesn't know the other persons name...

Again for the Kroil. Much better than anything else I have used.

I am actually out of the stuff right now, anyone know where to buy more?

Kroil rocks! I just picked some up at Marshall's Industrial Hardare (on California Ave, just west of I-215). It's not cheap though. :(

Also, they had the Loctite bolt freeze stuff too, which may help with your exhaust manifold battle.
