Pets in the store

What makes people think that they can bring their pets into the stores:confused:

I see more and more of it. It is rare to go into a Home Depot these days and not see a dog in the store. Is HD dog friendly for some reason??? A few years ago a poodle-ish type of dog snapped at my little boy in the Home Depot as we walked down the isle and the owner says "sorry he doesn't like kids much". That was a lame excuse. The other day in target there were a few dogs I noticed. One was a nice looking boxer mix, still a puppy that was barking very loud at anyone who walked by. And getting pulled around by the dumb owner by its leash. Like the owner thought it had an attack dog or something. What is up with that?? And Target is a grocery store too, doesn't the board of health have issues with pets in a grocery store???

I don't care if your dog is 100% angel; leave it home when you go shopping!!

That dog would have met with my foot and then the end of it's leash before the owner could have uttered his first word.

Unless it is PetsMart/PetCo leave your F'ing dog HOME!!!! PETS do not belong in store or restaraunts!!!!
It is amazing to me that ANYONE is errogant enough to take there dog to the store/mall/restaraunt! They are animals, they lick their own butts.... As mentioned, not only a health issue, but and safety issue as well.
And don't forget some of us are allergic to them!!

agree with all of the above, leave the dog in your truck/car or home, they do not belong in the store, unless they are invited by the store owner (for the smaller shops out there).

Isn't leaving a pet in the car animal abuse? Something about them frying in the heat or something?

And it's usually those idiot wannabe Paris Hilton sluts that cart around their damn rat in a handbag that think they can get away with it. NO, your dog isn't cute. NO, your dog isn't a fashion accessory. YES, you're a skank. NO, no one gives a crap that you carry a stupid dog around so leave it the f-dash-dash-dash home! I'm going to laugh the day some dumb blonde's dog bites some kid passing by and they sue the piss out of them. I sure as hell would. :mad2:

A good dog bite in the store would open up a lawsuit to the owner plus the store. You have two good options. I can't believe that stores allow themselves to be open to that kind of liability.

Side note. I have always owned dogs, I like dogs. Nothing against dogs at all. Just against them in stores!

Yes if you do so and leave the windows up and provide them no relief from the elements.

My windows are all cracked, parked in the shade, and leave cold water in the car for her, and I don't take her with if I know I will be more then ten minutes in the store.

I too have been seeing this more and more. It peeves me as well. I definetly have issues with them in the grocery stores. I guess I should be more vocal with them.

I tend to confront folks like that. See, I have two very large dogs, an Akita at 130 pounds, and an English Mastiff at 180 pounds. My Shi TZu only THINKS she is that size... I have taken the big dogs into Petco/PetSmart stores, but won't take my little dog in anywhere else. Much less the big ones. I also like to talk to managers and let them know I am offended by people bringing their dogs in. It really can be fun to stir a pot now and again... But really, some people want to be like Paris hilton and other celebs that take their pets everywhere...
