pipe, places to get it locally?

I am in need of some 1 1/4" x .188 wall or 1 1/2" x .250 wall tubing for a ladder bar that I am making. I usually get all of my steel from Metal Mart in Lehi. However, they do not carry this thick of tubing. I also called Wasatch Steel and they told me that do not even carry round pipe.

Anyone know of other places around that I can pick some up. I need about 10' and am hoping to have it for the weekend.

wasatch usually has salvage water pipe.

try Metal Supermarket, they will have tube, but it will be spendy.

try one of the local fab shop they might have what you need.

1-1/4" SCH 80 is .191 wall thickness, this may fit the bill.

1-1/2" SCH 80 is .2 wall thickness. In order to get above the .25 wall thickness, you'd need to get SCH 160, which is .281 wall thickness.

I actaully dont think that Pacific Steel will work if they dont carry the specific sizes of .188 or .250. They need to be that exact size for my rod ends to fit into the tube tightly.

You can look at the different tube options on Marmons website. Also, for short lengths & mailorder, Aircraft Spruce has DOM for decent prices.

what are you looking for PIPE or TUBE, if its pipe then try your local plumbing supply, if tube there some good venders on POR that ship anywhere, jason.
