Portable Air compressor

my portable air compressor gave up the ghost last weekend. It was a cheapie from an auto parts store. I wanted to get a nicer one, but have no idea what is good or worth it to buy. Any suggestion? Keep in mind I want to have a portable air compressor. Thanks!

Just how portable? You mean like a little tire filler that would fit behind the seat, or something to run tools off that would fit in the bed of a pickup?

A really nice small one is the Puma.

Check out Harbor Freight for a 12v. It is on sale for $25 now. I had to remove the heat sensing thermostat from mine because it got too hot. Just be patient and let it cool a little between tires.

Yeah, portable enough that I can put it behind the seat. I like to take it with us on trips in our tahoe, just in case. I'll look at the puma right now.

The Puma I have is model 1006 I think. For a 12V, it puts out a lot of air, 100% duty cycle, quality built - it's a good product. Might be a little bit too big for your needs, as it has a built in tank. But, you can take the tank off and cut the size down quite a bit.

I actually bought a compressor from Harbor Freight. It had a lot of good reviews from others on the site. Hopefully it will last for a while until I am done with school. When this one breaks, I will get a nicer one.

I bought one of those little smittybilt ones and it has been great. I think it was 80 bucks or so.
I've got the same one, got mine for $60, I think 4 Wheel Parts even has a rebranded version for cheaper. It's only about 75% as good as my old VIAIR 4?? that I used to have (got stolen), but it's also only about 20% the cost.

I can air up all 4 of my 32x10.50s from 15psi to 32psi in 10 minutes flat.
