You can't make this crap up. I knew it was bad over there, but wow. They have given up every ounce of liberty in that country and we are not far behind.

I have to laugh, because it's scary. :ugh:

Why were the police wearing bulletproof vests?

So I'm to understand it's illegal to wear a "Russian-style hat" and take a picture of yourself holding a piece of plumbing pipe?:confused:

most officers in england do not even carry firearms of any kind. many go over a year between even firing them, and even then, that is only for their required tests.

they wear "stab vests" that are more designed to stop a knife, than anything. apparently stabbings of police officers is a huge issue over there.

Oh my god, he's got a hand axe! Quick, hide your wood!

eta - and now that I've seen the whole video, my god. Nevermind that they're just pictures of kids with kitchen knives and cheap $50 sword replicas, is a fuzzy picture posted to the internet probable cause for arrest in the UK???

That would never be cause for arrest here, would it?

am i the only one who noticed that they are going after those who were brandishing weapons in public?

that's a crime here too. and whatever the law is, if you are stupid enough to post a picture of yourself on your instagram breaking the law......don't be shocked when a police officer knocks on your door

I understand that they are going after people who are "brandishing weapons in public" but it just seems like they want to take it to the next level. From the video I get the feeling they want to be able to go after the people doing it at home or on private property.

Pretty sure if I posted a picture of myself holding a piece of pipe on my facebook page I wouldn't have the cops coming to arrest me.

Do you have to be contrary about everything? Did you look at those pictures? They aren't "brandishing a weapon", they're flipping off the cops. They're exercising free speech, not threatening people.

but to be fair, if you held a piece of pipe in front of a cop in the real world he probably wouldn't arrest you either.

they are only trying to enforce laws that they already enforce in the real world in the UK they take posession of weapons very seriously.

if you posted a pic of yourself in public, breaking a law that normally warrants arrest it wouldn't be far fetched for them to arrest you for it

Do you have to be contrary about everything?
but you guys make it so easy.
"they're arresting people in their own country, not following their laws.....let me get my gun and hold it close so nobody can take it from me" *all the while making a big deal out of it using words like "scary"

I've got one of those posted, shows 140mph and 6000 rpms. But what protects me is there is no way to know if it was street, track, or private property.
