cool parking lot story tweakey. the exact sme thing happened to me. although it was after school. it was all icy and it slid like a foot into the fence. nobody thought i could make it off without help. after ten mins or so, i finally got it by myself. could've been embarassing.

the next day this kid who's toyota is stuck in the late 80's early 90's as far as cool after market stuff goes(chrome, chrome). he did the same thing on some new fresh snow from the night before, right where i got stuck. well, i must say he was really pissed and very emberassed when my stock zuk had to pull him out. everyone laughed at him. it was actually kinda sad.

poser shots are ok when there is testing going on, and or one is on a trail and gets a sick shot. why the hell do you care skychrome?

I wasn't pissed off, just thought you were sayin that, that flex shot was nothing compared to all you other big dawgs on this board! :D

I know you don't kiss ass, but I do! :D

Well, B... If you have any projects you want to test on a YJ... I'll be your test subject... I had a guy offer to try SOA with XJ leaves, but he went with some other dudes jeep instead. Long story. So... Hook me up!

Poser pictures are ok in my book. I personally put one rear tire up on a wall and then lift the opposite tire to test (1) supsension balance, (2) over-all flex, (3) fender trimming and (4) shock placement.

For example, the scout pictured below is Snoopy (my Scout). Although the fender trimming and suspension balance was spot-on, I found that the RS5012 rear shocks were limiting my rear down travel and that RS5036 could be used to gain an additional 6" of down travel (at the shock).

Is it a poser pic? Ya sure.... but I didn't put it up on the wall to get a picture either. I guess it all depends on how impressive the picture is. I've seen guys with slightly modified rigs pose to *show off* but the pictures were more of an embarrasment than anything....those I can't stand (unless its an obvious joke). But a decent rig showing decent flex....its all good.

My philosophy is simple, Lift little ~ Trim Lots. I try to keep my rigs to a minimum (as much as the owners will let me). This lift, SOA on 2.5" springs, is what I usually use for a guy who wants to fit 35-36" tires w/out trimming....but I used it for 38.5s:D Its actually quite funny to pull up to a guy with 35" tires and find that mine, with 38.5s is LOWER than his. Makes for good side-hill manuvers. :D :) ;)

The front end still has some travel in it, but this is where the rear shocks limited the rear axle (the passenger side rear)...the new shocks fixed this and allow for another 6-9" of droop. I limited the uptravel a couple inches with some bumpstops but that goes back to the 'poser shots' post ~ and what I use them for.

Here is a picture from the other side....
Oh, and don't worry, this thing see's the trail. I post most of my pictures on my club's website at: www.dandcextreme.com/club ~ click on 'photos'

I changed that mere seconds before I read your post. My last avatar was my jeep lifting a tire going up an obstacle just before he flopped. Good catch though.
