The dumpster has been there, you might have shown up when it was either being changed out or emptied or you are not at PSH. :p

I think they put the 4 extra toilets at the bottom parking area yesterday.

I found it today! lol I've never seen it, even though I was driving 'right past it' to get to the bottom. I also saw the recycle cans and porta pots... :)

Yup!!! You can see me pulling me up in my white Rubicon.... I pulled up just as they went down the first time. The first time they had helmets on (or at least the driver did - in the video it doesn't look like the passenger did). Everytime after neither had their seat belt on. After this run, the rear bumper fell off and the left. Several people got real mad at them about leaving parts laying around, but the kids didn't care and drove off. They came back about 45 minutes later with more spray paint on the car and made the drive a few more times.

Today we ran Steel Bender backwards - bad mistake, for one, there were two or three vendor runs going on at the same time so we got to sit and wait for them to pass a long time (40+ rigs I bet)...
Shame on you Wayne! Steelbender (and Hells Revenge and Kane Creek) was one way ALL week.

But anyway, afterwards we went over to PSH to watch the carnage. There were some asshats with a Geo Metro just blatently destroying it on the hill. At first it was funnier the hell watching them crashing down it doing 20 mph. My hope is they did not leave the car there.

If anyone knows anything about this, post up because I'd like to know if they cleaned up their mess before leaving. I'd really hate to know they left it.... There were a lot of people yelling at the kids when we left about not leaving it and picking up the mess....

This is why I don't go anywhere near PSH during Safari. I don't want to be associated with the idiocy of that place!!

I was down there over the weekend. And on Friday....I think...I saw that Geo in the back of a F-250 pickup truck going down main street! I wish I had gotten a picture for you guys but it was gone as soon as I saw it.

Whatever  I waved at you on Main street and you didn't even give me the time of day ;)

Yesterday? there was another idiot on a snowmobile! Where do these people come from????? There was also another idiot in a stock LJ bouncing up it at 30. The first time the cops told him to slow down. The second time they got smart and told him he could either take a DUI test and a ticket for speed? or call it quits for the day - he didn't make another run while I was there anyway ;)

I saw video of this car on channel 6 on saturday. It is that barking frog productions channel that plays fresh footage from the safari. I think there is video of it in a few places.

I cant believe they wouldnt pick their crap up. Im kind of surprised they didnt get jumped.

I was there friday afternoon/evening and there was no sign of the car or its parts. It was probably the biggest crowd that I have seen there ever, but it was also the cleanest I have seen it in a while.

Did anyone get to see sideshow Bob in his green supra powered 4runner? He camped out there pretty much all day everyday.

I'm not sad to say that i didn't make it to PSH... oh darn ;)

What time were the clean up crews? My wife and I were there Saturday, and we were the only ones there other than the recycling center people... It was around 7. They said the cops had the inhibriated folks in jail come clean up the hill and imediate area (got most the garbage off the hill). But we spent another hour or so scouring the area and picking up plenty of beer cans.

We never botherd going to PSH while there were crowds and I don't fell like I missed a thing... :)

Thank you for being there at 7. It is a hard push to get people out at 7 am on their vacation to help clean up. Did you talk with Sara from the recycle center?

To answer your question we tried to get people there every morning at 7. Blacksheep and his nephew were there almost every morning along with the recycle center. We also made arrangements with the cops to let people in after hours (if it was closed) to pick up, and the invitation to pick up was open all day.

That is awesome that the police had the yahoo's that made the mess clean it up.

Yeah she gave us some buckets and bags to go around and grab stuff... I had my RME hoody so she knew we were part of the websites clean up orginization. I was searching and saw that last year different groups signed up for different days did that work out?
I understand it is tough to get someone out that early, but I think people would be willing if it was one day it was sure nice to be there when there was just the cleaning crew. We got there on Saturday at 8:30 or so and it had already been done. It only took us an hour or so Sunday to have the place spotless, I wouldn't even want to try to attempt cleaning up while it was crowded...

I think that it worked out better than this year :-\

Last year blacksheep and nephew were pretty much the go-to guys all week, and on the weekend we had a really good group from U4WDA show up. That group made a good impact. I was hoping that letting more people know (advertized on Pirate as well), and not twisting arms while people were on vacation would give us enough people on the morning and weekend. Live and learn I guess. :-\ Next year we need to organize this a little earlier, and work on the sign up list.

From what I have heard (was not able to be there myself) the area is clean, and people are happy, but it would be nice to distribute the load around a little, and it would be cool to have enough sign up that we can support more than one area.

Lets do that next year too! Last year Steve Jackson stepped up and volunteered U4 to handle Sunday morning, while we had sort've planned to do it again this year, honestly I didn't even think of it until blacksheep mentioned it at the vendor show on friday. Sadly I wasn't able to make it Sunday morning, I had a sick wife and a house that needed to be cleaned before we could check out... However I'm confident that next year U4WDA can again plan on a huge Sunday morning attack.
