I don't recall seeing a plate, but I wasn't specifically looking for it. I'll look when I go out there again tomorrow morning.
Both bumpers were torn off if I remember correctly, so I may not be able to really see anything anyway.

Blacksheep - Check your PM's for a phone number for the deputy that I have been talking to for the clean ups. He would be a good first call, and have him tell us what works best for them. We could let them call a tow truck, or we could try to get someone with a trailer to help move it for them? I am not sure what will work the best for them

I think so... If I saw him in a line up. I also have some pictures of guys that apparently knew him (they were in the pics that i got of the carnage). So I'm sure worst case it could be investigated and pinpointed to him. Drop me an email and I'll email you the pics I have....
I heard today, that they pulled the car up to the top so it could be retrieved, but then they pushed it off the cliff?
I also heard today that on the 24th PSH is no longer - they are going to blast it with dynamite. Completely unrelated to this event, but because of this type of thing, is why it's going ot happen. If this is true, I'll try to get pics of it going down.....
In coordinating the PSH clean up I talked to the BLM a few times. They told me that there were no plans to close or change PSH on their end at all. However right at the top of the hill is the boundry for the school land that was sold and is going to be developed. Apperently the fence line is right at the top of the hill so that there may not be room to get a vehicle up there or turn around if they do enforce that boundry.

The car didn't have plates, but it did have a temporary sticker! Rumor floating around at the time was he bought it for a $100 just recently - taht day?
That sucks the whole area is so bad off (messy) because of this guy (kid).....

I heard developers were going to dynamite it? Maybe this is just rumor, because they also said that they were tired of asshats doing this type of thing there. Now I'm trying to remember who I heard this from!!! lol I've talked to a lot of people these past few days, so everything is a blur... But I could probably find out if need be...
The hill itself is under BLM control, so I don't see them being able to do that without lots of notice, discussion and government red tape. But this hill and antics like that car are a hot topic at the BLM and the Sheriff’s office. It is very easy for them to park a patrol car and say "off limits" for safety or environmental reasons. The area is a headache to them; I would hate to see them take action like that.

When I was there, I didn't see any receptacles, dumpsters, etc..etc..etc.. Other than the car, it looked clean though.

The dumpster was there this morning. I think it was there yesterday, but i'm losing my mind so I can't remember. There are 3 recycle cans as well.
the car was gone this morning, and I heard the same story about the guy buying it for $100 that very afternoon. Apparantly it was a moab local who was doing the driving. There was a crew from Utah.com who apparantly got it all on film. I heard them talking about it today.

I was there today, and again I saw no dumpsters - but I did see _A_ outhouse down below, but nothing up top.
Also I didn't see the car and it appeared to be all cleaned up. There was alos a cop there the whole time I was (he was there before and after I was).

True... There was someone there with a video camera now that you mention it. But I have no idea who or even what they really looked like - never paid attention past the piont of 'oh, a video camera'.

you need to open your eyes a little further. The dumpster has been there for at least the last two days and probably three days. the day the dumpster was delivered is the same day the recycle bins were placed.
I'll admit, there was 8 + 1 outhouses (2 groups of 4, and the single one next to the 'jail' area) this morning, but I can't recall if they were there yesterday or not. These days are totally running into each other.
