wow, I didn't realize the 203 range box was so small. I thought it would dwarf the D300.

yeah not too bad although the top picture is a little deceptive, the 203 sits about 3-4 inches lower than the 300

Here is picture where you can kinda tell

how much $$ have you put into that so far? and what do you guys think about flipping it 180* and not using the flip kit. would the seals hold up? and if so for how long?

alot, about 900.00, but I was able to sell my old case for 650 and I needed a longer front shaft so 4:1 gear set for the 300 was not going to help.

Are you talking about flipping the 300 or the 203? they clock the 203 all the time no prob, I think you might have oiling probs with the 300, but the seals should be fine, you would need to relocate the vent tube to the top of the output shaft and find a way to add/drain oil, as well as figure out how to shift the thing...prolly just better to buy the flip.

unless you need the length and or can machine the adapter/ shaft yourself, the doubler is kinda dumb.

think about it after you drop 750 into the adapter and the shaft, 200-300 into the 300, dunno how much for the flip...add 600 for 32 spline front and rear outputs...coulda just bought an atlas and shaved 100lbs at the same time...

Don't get me wrong the idea of low, lower and damn low is cool, plus I needed the longer front shaft and I got good chunk of change out of my old case...but there are easier ways to get 5:1.

i was thinking about just buying the Dana 300 and while i saved up for a flipkit ($600) i would just run it ghetto-flipped and shift using a wrench, which is how i shift anyway. only issue is a if the seal will leak. i guess i'm just gonna try it and find out :D

yup WMS, can't say enough good things about casey and WMS...first I was going to build the adapter myself called him he said cool, offered to give me the mounting surface to mounting surface dimensions and sell me just his shaft...talked my damn ear off. Decided to order the whole thing, he said he would have it to my in 10 days and it was here in 9. Seems like that is a rare thing with vendors these days. I hardly ever get anything on time. Anyway seems stout...can't wait to thrash on it.

Thats very cool...I talked to casey quite a bit but it was after I had already ordered my doubler...I told him what was going on with ORD and he said that was typical...hindsite is 20/20...did I mention your setup is good looking...:D
