Well, I finally got to do some work on my 'Yota. Removed the IFS, and proceeded to install the Dana 44. The front springs are Rubicon Express' 4.5 CJ lift (B-Rad's old springs). It's pretty big, but with the full width axles and the 113 in. wheelbase, I think it will be ok. The tire sitting next to it is a 35in. BFG (measures 33.5 inches tall).

Probably going to do 63 inch Chevys on the rear. I'm cutting out the back wall of the cab, so I can mount a back seat in the bed.

oh, and I finally went and bought a welder.:D Millermatic 175.

It was stock when I started. However, I do have the front axle assembly. You can have it if you want. The a-arms were all cut and I don't have the rotors anymore, but the hubs, CVs, and the third member are all there. LMK

can you show me more on the front shackles? I have the other jeep springs for my rig and thought I'd have to taper the shackle. Looks like yours are just strait?

Have you seen the Allpro shackles? I basically did the same thing. They are straight. 6 inches long with the holes 4 1/2 on center. I went to Metal Supermarkets and bought 4 pieces of DOM tubing that were 5/8 of an inch long each. The tube is 1.25 OD-.25 thick. 3/4 inch bolts fit perfectly. The sleeves are just welded to the end of the shackle that the leaf spring attaches to.
