Project Resurrection

I just returned from serving a two year mission, meanwhile the "Toymanator" has been sitting idle. This morning it moved into the garage ready for resurrection! Does anyone know what to do with this stuff?

I thought I would update this thread since it has been over a year. As well I need to document my build to keep me motivated. I spent a lot of time on the runner last spring and got pretty far on the EFI install. Then I went away to school for a few semesters. When I returned home it took me a while to find out exactly where I had left off on the wiring. I then started shopping for some new relays and sensors and decided to scrap the junkyard harness I was using and buy an aftermarket RJM harness with all the new bling.

I hardly think school is an adequate excuse for putting a build on hold. Get your priorities straight :p

It is depressing to look back and realize that two months later, what I thought would be done the next day has now just been finished.

Pics or it didn't happen...

Sadly the little progress I have made isn't worth posting pictures of. I have completed most (still have 3-5 wires to route) of the wiring.

My list of things to do:

* Wire guages
* Weld in O2 Sensors
* Wire fuel pumps
* Mount Relays on inner fender
* Install air tube, and MAF sensor, purchase and install air filter
* Install a fuel cutoff switch
* Install throttle cable
* Mount BAP sensor on firewall
* Replace kinked heater hoses (see pic)
* Change fluids
-oil
-coolant
-transmission fluid
-brake fluid
-transfer case
-add gas

In theory once all of that is completed it should now be a fuel injected beast and we can start on the fun stuff. :greg:

A few updates, this was my first bumper build it has been on my 4runner for four years now. I thought it would be time to show you some pictures. The rear is a 2x4, and the sides are a 2x2. After trying to incorporate the stock bumper mounts we ended up just welding it into the frame with a 2x4 and then tying the sides into the frame with another 2x4. I still need to cap the ends, big thanks to Nvrstuck he is the one who basically built the entire thing.

That rig is coming along. i love yotas

Thanks, it has a lot of potential and I am learning a lot as I go. For example that bumper was built with a 220v stick welder, as I am sure you can tell by the looks of the welds. They aren't pretty but they do the job.
