*UPDATE*

I was able to crawl back under the jeep and get things back on the right track today. After a little work, I got everything addressed from last weekend and didn't flip out to boot:D The chassis/suspension are square and plum bobbed to 112.5" wb on the dot with +/- 2" of adjustability.

cut the truss of and shortened it 1.75". It also gave me an excuse to do away with my hobart 180 cold welds:rolleyes:

Got it mocked up. Much better angles on the upper arms and still have 9.25" of separation.

Still have another hole of adjustability left in the upper arms, but I have to cut the tub in order to do so. That will come once it is sitting on its wheels.

I'm liking the looks of this:cool:

Bitchin' new idea, Marcus. Thinking outside the box is what progress is made of. :D

hah If I can visualize that, it's going to look pretty bitchin w/properly mounted rims. Sexy so far. I'm a big fan of that blue too.

I finally ordered my Fox 2.5 airsocks from mike @ summit. They are in the 14" & 16" flavor:cool:

"With the momentum behind me, i headed to the garage this weekend determined to cut the "misplaced" lower brakets off and get the rear welded in. What instead ended up happening was a complete exercise in futility that would have certainly resulted in me pushing the jeep outside and lighting it on fire had i not been too tired. Ever had one of those days?" Goat

i had lots of those days with my jeep i finished it last monday and right as i was going to bleed the breaks i realized where the break line hooked into the rear wheel cylinder was stripped so i had to pull the whole axle apart and go grab a new one to put in, i was so mad i almost blew it up right then and there.

Your track width sucks and your tire is mounted on the bottom of the rim

but other than that, it looks good! :D

Thats the new upside down portal axle for when you don't have enough clearance between your axle and your frame.

Cut out some 3/8 plate to use as inserts for the barnes truss before i send it off to be finish welded. I'll post up some pics of the rear axle once I get it back.

Got most of the 70 welded up today.

Don't think I'll be spinning tubes with all this all 3/8:cool: I will add a nice little tab for a center strap to fill in the gap between the plates.

*update*

Finished welding up the rear links today. I decided to use my mig, then sand out the welds as I was too impatient to have Rob tig them. I will probably powdercoat them along with the axles when its ready.
