Public Auction for an expo trailer

I have to check legal ads at work, and this is running this week:

On January 10, 2020 at 10:00 Mountain Time, Phoenix Inventors, LLC will be holding a public auction for a Tail Gunner Trailer. The public auction will be held at 1076 E. Commerce Dr. Ste. 400, St. George, Utah 84790. Listed below is a description of the trailer. Tail Gunner Trailer VIN: 4T9T2KB1XLU330002 Year: 2019 Make: Tail Gunner Trailer Model: B51 Pub#3944988 Published Dec 13, 20, 27, 2019; Jan 3, 8, 2020 The Spectrum UPAXLP

Why is a trailer from what looks like a brand new company up for auction? And why is a brake bleeding company auctioning it? And why legal notices, not just post it in classifieds?

Thought I'd throw it out there if anyone is interested. If you end up calling, I'm curious what the story is.

If I had to take a wild guess, I would say that the owner of Phoenix Systems bought it as a "business expense", and now is having to sell it due to possibly going under. They have an instagram, but it's been pretty much dead since last year, so just assuming that business is NOT booming for them, and they're selling off assets.

They've been around for a long time, I bought a bleeder from them ~10 years ago. Can't imagine in the last year the owner was feeling comfortable enough to buy a trailer, then a few months later have to sell it off? And even then, why legal ads? That ad cost him over $100, and only old people and government employees will see it, why not just list it on KSL?

I think so... it's at their office.

My guess is a client didn't pay for services and they have a lien on the trailer now and are selling to get their pay.

That’s what I was thinking. I know some things can’t just be sold if they are abandoned but you must notify the seller of a public auction so that person can help with the auction and any money owed to you goes to you and they can keep the rest. At least that’s how it goes with property left in a house two weeks after eviction.
