has anyone heard anything or had experience with these plugs? they claim they are way better than conventional spark plugs and i am just wondering if they do indeed provide the hp gains stated in their ads.

I would seriously doubt you're going to see a 4.87 PERCENT increase in torque out of a Corvette... that's at least...10ft.lbs.....

I am highly skeptical.

i'm skeptical too, that is why i'm asking about them, and at $25 a pop, seems kinda pricey.

So at a minimum $100 investment they're making some crazy-ass claims.

I would say on the face of it they do not work. For me, that's a $200 hit for what you usually get out of a really good intake.

Regular old spark plugs aren't so inefficient that their design is going to give you the claims they... claim.

Sounds like high-tech fuel magnetizer.

yeah, when i first saw them in a popular mechanics magazine, i thought they looked cool. but now after researching them more, it seems that they are something you would see on a cheesy infomercial that promises all this stuff and then you get it and it is worse than original. haha

just think about the spark plugs that have multiple electrodes... if you have 50000 volts going to the spark plug and you have to divide it over 2-4 electrodes you not getting a full spark... where as with only one its all going down that one electrode...

Now this isn't all true cause electricity takes the path of least resistance so if you have 2-4 electrodes if one is bent closer then the others it going to get the majority of the electricity but you get the point...

Don't waste your time, money or effort. Miracle spark plugs are junk. Splitfire, Bosch Platinum, Pulstar or any other plug like that will do nothing for you. I have seen NEW Bosch Platinums cause misfires in engines. When I took the Bosch plugs out and put some normal plugs in, the misfire went away. Explain that to me.

Run whatever the vehicle manufacturer recommends. If it came from the factory with double platinum plugs, put double platinum back in it, but not platinums that have three extra ground straps. Automakers spent millions in R&D to make sure the car would run well under all conditions. They spec'd normal spark plugs for a reason.

I watched a crew tear down a top fuel dragster engine. Guess what plugs they were running? Autolite copper electrode plugs. Yes, they do change their plugs every race, but they already spent $75k on the engine, so why wouldn't they run Pulstar plugs? They suck.

Just run the regular normal plugs that are recommended for your engine and change them every 15k miles or more if you have double platinums. If a 7000+ horsepower dragster runs Autolite coppers, you should be just fine. Rant complete.

^^^ That is why I like running stock stuff as often as possible: R&D budgets.

Sure, they mess some stuff up, but that's mostly in areas like... tool accessibility, interior longevity, etc.
