Quality XJ rear leafs

Our XJ has an Add-a-leaf and a 3" block in the rear and the springs are pretty worn out. I'd like to replace them with a 1.5" shackle and about a 3" spring. Any suggestions on a decent riding spring which will last awhile?

I put the RE leafs in Angies last time. I have been pretty happy with them. They ride and flex well, diamond cut and tapered. I had Nationals in it before, flexed great, but sagged bad!! Ride and flex is about the same with the RE's. Alcan is also close to you now, they make a good spring too.

I too have always liked RE springs and their 1.5" shackles......

What is the length of the XJ leaf? I have often wondered if they were close enough to Waggy leafs to swap in a set and gain another 1.5" of wheelbase. XJ leaves seem to sag all the time and I wonder if it is because of the 3" center pin offset?

RE leaves have been on my rig for years and they do sag some, but they advertise them on the low side, so post-sag, they still end up on the plus side of advertised height.

Example:

RE 1463 leaf pack is advertised as a 3.5" lift, but the net lift is 5" initially and after use will sag to 4.5"-ish.

RE 1462 leaf pack is advertised as a 4.5" lift but will net 6.5", sagging with use over time to 5"+.

Heavy duty bumpers, full sized spares and lots of gear hauled around daily, and weekly wheeling with lots of flex-age will all add to the amount of sag, but RE's leaves have been good to me for 5 years+.

I JUST (today) put on the RE 4.5" packs with the 1.5" shackles I already had. Compared to the Procomp 2.5" springs I had, the RE packs are lightyears ahead in all around beefiness. I like them already...
