Question about Rusty Nail

There is supposed to be a spot near the end of Rusty Nail that is really tight to a cliff. Is this spot really too narrow for a full size to get through (or at least a rig w/ FS axles?) and how close to the cliff does this obstacle get you? Is it even a concern?

any pics--I think it's called 'no left turn' or something to that effect.

Nah, don't worry about it. For all it's hype, I was pretty disappointed the first time I saw No Left Turn. There's a spot past that, not a "named" obstacle that feels WAY worse--just a narrow spot, off-camber...but it leans you toward the cliff, naturally.

You won't have any problems, go have fun. :D

Here's a couple from 3 years ago. My cruiser was FW with 36-14.50 Swampers. I've heard the hole on the right side is filled in now also.

that doesn't look to be too close to the edge. a big ledge, but not life threatening.

I"m asking mainly becaue I'm supposed to lead a group of built grand cherokees through there in June and a couple are bitching about being too close to the cliff. Sissie grand owners--sheesh.

Yeah when we did it, it wasn't that bad.

You come around the turn and there is that big ledge but thats the worst part.

The trail on a whole really isn't that bad, we took Moabrat's Jeep through the trail with open diffs and 33's no problem!

last summer we took the narrowd k5 blazer (full width axle ) a yj ( full width) and me ( narrow track cj) and none of us had a hard time with any of it. You will fit on this trail no prob. we even ran into a couple of unimogs on the way out. If they can fit anyone can lol.....

I'd like to see more pics of Rusty Nail if anyone's got 'em. I've been too busy with work to get out on the trails for a couple months and I'm itchin' to go. Rusty Nail and Behind the Rocks are a couple of trails I haven't done yet and I want to try them out. While I'm down there, (if I survive those) I'm thinking about running Upper Helldorado too. I've spotted and been through as a passenger but I haven't driven it yet.

Post some pics of any of those. please:D
