My g/f's dad owns a 90 Toyota Dually flatbed with the 3.0 v6 and he says his rear diff has gone out, I am guessing it broke teeth and so he was looking to get it replaced. I tried looking around online but I couldnt find the answer I was looking for. But I was wondering if you guys knew, does it use the standard differential found in the v6 4Runners or 22RE pickups etc?

Is there a quick way for me to tell without opening it up?

Thanks for any help! And on a side note my 4Runner is still out of comission lol...

If it has 4 ribs on the side of the 3rd it is a V6 and 3 ribs is a 4cyl. I believe it will have the standard V6 3rd in it.

Thanks you guys for the info. He says he found one today off of a 4Runner, it might be the V6 version but I havent taken a look at it myself yet. But I'll keep an eye out for the stamp and paint on the pinion. Thanks again!
