For those of you who have ran both sizes in the km2, did you notice much better handling running the 17's with less sidewall than the 15's at the same tire pressure on the street? Reason I'm asking is eventually the Montero will fully replace the Jeep and be driven to Moab and the Rubicon, not towed, my wife will also be driving it and want handling to be safe as possible. My common sense leans toward the 17's, but any and all feedback appreciated.

I prefer the 17s. They have a bit less sidewall squirm off road, and less bouncing. I prefer the 17s offroad (and on road). It could be in my head, but I also think they have more tame street manners on the road. I don't think 15s would be a deal-breaker (plus they're way cheaper), but if given the choice I would go with the 17s.

I definitely recommend siping the KM2s for the snow time, that completely changed the winter handling and traction of my truck.

You will gain road manners with the 17s at street pressure but lose some offroad ability if you air down but only in extreme cases.
