Rancho RS9000X

Well i guess Rancho thought that there wasnt enough selection choices on the RS9000, now theres a 9000X with 9 choices. I picked up a set of 4 at NPS and 2 of them i cant use so im going to sell them, but 2 im thinking I can use on my rear. Are they even worth it over ordinary shocks? I have some Warn Black Diamonds on there now. They shocks are going to be mounted at an angle so dampenings not going to be as affected but ill get more travel, i guess turning them up would help with dampening in that situation. Anyone run 9000s and absolutly love them?

Yeah, I think they are good shocks. They used to be the real hot ticket; anyone who was anybody was running them. There are a lot of new choices in the shock department these days. I still think the RS 9000's aren't outdated yet though.

I like mine(old style), they have been on the front(doubled up) for 3 years now.

I bought a pair of 99012 (9000x's) but have yet to put them on the back yet.

picked mine up at nps as well.

Dosnt rancho have gas charged selectable shocks or is that what your talking about. Because I cant belive how much difference the gas charged ones make. If rancho dosnt make them I know procomp dose I wish I would have got those. I ran 9000s on a trooper for 2 years and they got all messed up some how but I put alot of hard miles on them. but trail masters on and they blew like a month later mo it has monro shocks and it rides alot nicer and they have been on for 4 yeas or so. On the rubie it has tera shocks and I blew one of those like two months after and just fixed it have the 9000s on the wag and they ride great no complaints but I dont wheel it much allways fixing\changing something

I have the 9000's on all 4 corners and I just set them for the softest setting, but on my way out to Little Moab I was cruising about 75 on that little tiny road and it felt like my backend was doing liftoff off of those rolling hills...

After my wheeling trip down there I set them to a little firmer setting, whoa. My Jeep stuck to the road like roadkill! It was awesome. I noticed awesome road handling with it firmer without losing ride quality. I haven't noticed any problems with it firmer rockcrawling either.

They are a good shock, but very expensive. I don't think I'll buy them again just because of the price. (I bought my lift used and the shocks came for free along with it.)

They were only 20 bucks brand new, the closest ive seen shocks for that price is when i bought my Warn Black diamonds when they had there 50% off sale when warn was ditching the Black Diamond line.
