rangely CO trail ratings?

looking to head out to vernal (bro in law lives there) and run red mountain and i'm wondering if going to rangely is worth my time as well...?

so basically is it worth going there in my little xj? spooled 44 rear, 33's, armor, and i'm pretty careless with it although i will have to drive it home :ugh:

i searched and judging by most of the pics it looks crazy tough but then again somebody said there is something for everybody/from mild to wild but everyone has different opinions. thanks
 
I'm not much help, because I haven't been up there, but from my understanding most of the trails cater to the truly hardcore. I would imagine there are a few easier trails or at the least, you could go out & play around on the easier parts of the hard trails.
 
that's what it looked like, thanks guys. it's only an hour from vernal so we'll see what happens. might be fun just to cruise out and look around
 
i'm still working it out, in fact i made him a deal that he has to get a jeep to run the trail with me or else i won't come out there :rofl:

he doesn't think it's funny cause no one ever goes and visits him because nobody wants to go spend the weekend in vagernal aka vergina.

if you go out there often i will let you know when the trip is going to happen. it looks like a cool trail for sure... at least for a couple of xj's

Let me know. I am out there quite a bit. I grew up there and there is lots of other fun stuff, you just have to know where to look. Things like fantasy canyon and brush creek cave are places you should see if you come to vernal.

I haven't been to the rangely trails yet. I would be up for exploring them too and they also should have a new swimming pool/recreation center over their by now that I need to go check out sometime.
