Now that I have figured out how to get there I felt it more appropriate to post a new thread to see if anyone wants to meet up out there.

I expect to be in the parking lot around 8:30-8:45 Saturday the 3rd of May.

At this time I only expect to go on RS but if someone wants to continue on the Con feel free to do that as well.

Would love to run with someone who has been there a few times just to be sure I know where I am going, but, if not then no worries I (think I) can make it on my own.

Let me know

Cheers

Brian

Damn thats early!!

Yeah, it really is way early for me too, but the wife is going on a girls night so I get a weekend long kitchen pass. My buddy, on the other hand, has a baseball game at 1pm to be back for. SO.... :)

If yall can't get there that early, perhaps I will see you on the way back...:)

I just happen to be off and would love to join you... I have never done this trail either so it would be a first for two of us...

I love my CJ too...

Oh, by the way, I have a tan CJ-7. I am lifted three inches, and locked front and rear on 33 10.50s Just so yall can spot me. Then again, it is not a huge parking lot...

I hope to have my hard top off by then, but if it is cold on Friday it may not happen.

you would be able to make it up rattle snake but there is no way your going to want to try constrictor. im 4 inch suspention and 2 inch body spooled front and rear and i have to use a winch in some spots. mainly on the water fall. i will try and make it out there and i could show you the spots. i have a month and a half old baby so its kind of hard to get out of the house for me.

Congrats dad. My baby is 6 months old, but Mom is taking him with her on the girls weekend. So, I guess I get a kitchen pass, and a cradle pass too! hehe. The boy is old enough to ride on the trails now, but, the drive out there with the top off might be a different story for him just now. I know that the one (I believe) called waynes world is really hard, but that is optional, right? Or am I thinking of the waterfalls? I do not know the names, but I recall going through few rock gardens without any problems, just have to pick your lines. That includes the easy ones as times... :)

Agreed... I can't make it up Eagles nest or Waynes world in my CJ either and did have to get winched my first time through Radiator rapids but with the Bypasses it would be possible for any of the the rigs posted to make it through.

I'd join you guys if you weren't going so early but I might go out and run them on Sunday morning just got to get my radiator swapped in my DD/Tow rig:mad:

I was actually pondering bringing my trailer. It is not close enough to being done yet, however, so, perhaps at the end of the summer I can bring it up there.

I am building a 4' by 5' to pull behind the CJ on wheeling trips. This way I can go out camping with all the gear on the trailer. Right now I still need to put a 4" lift on it before it will really be ready for the trails.

BY THE WAY>>>

Any speculation as to how long I would expect the trip up the snakes and back to take? IE if I just do RS, vs if I did RS and Con? It looks like we will only have two to four rigs up there, at this point, so going through the obstacles should not take all that long unless we get to the ones that require winching, and want to go over them. For that matter, if you do go up both, the route back on that loop, are there any obstacles on there on the way down?

Thanks a ton for that...If you do not know, then, I guess I will learn the hard way. :)

waynes world is optional but if you hit it just right you can make it up. there is a possible of rolling though. my jeep is still broke and wont have it done in time but my dad is now going and we will just take his. its a 89 yj thats all tricked out.... if your not sure to get out there we could meet at the chevron. or if you get lost i can give you my number and i can give you directions.......we will try and get there before you. the jeep is black with pink on it..... youll know its us when you see it.... i can do rattle snake in like 5 minutes we can go up to the water fall and back down and be out of there in 3 hours

I know how to get there, and it sounds like everyone I have talked with does as well. I am not looking to really race the trail, but not interested in taking too long either.

Sounds like we should have a few rigs up there. I am bringing a buddy who has never been wheeling before, so, I am looking forward to it.

See you all soon

Sure, that would be cool. Thanks

Hey all, Really great trip today! Loved it.

Broke two studs out of my passenger side hub, but other than a little drilling I am going to have to do, it was a wonderful day for us!

Thanks again, that was a blast, and nice to meet everyone.
