Buddy is working on a project i though with a rear (backwards) engine
And Toyota axles a high pinion in rear axle flipped 180
And a lp in front flipped 180 you'd go forward

And you'd have a hp front lp rear..

He's doing 9s and wants to use two lp then rotate to have high pin front and rear.. Then he was taking about reverse cut gears

So how do you do rear engine and high pinion front and rear

Front or rear axles work the same. Low pinion front or rear axle will become a high pinion when flipped. Now bring the heat with oiling issues and running the contact of the gears differently.

Yep, both front and rear flipped. I ran flipped low pinions on my rear engine, single seater. I didn't have heating and oiling issues because it was used in comps and off road only. If it was going to be used at all on the street or long stretches of dirt roads those issues would need to be addressed.

Bart so did that make your rear weaker since it was running on the wrong side of the gears? Did you have oil slingers or anything?

I never had a problem that came from running on that side of the gears. It was an extremely light rig with lots of horsepower.
