Recommendations on 4x4 shops

Hey everyone,

I've been overseas for two years and I come home in May, finally. I plan on picking up another XJ first thing (had to sell the last one before I left), as I'll have about 20-25 days of leave before I need to be at my next duty station. With that being said, I'll be in a little bit of a hurry, along with not having a house anymore or any of my tools.

I plan on getting the Clayton 6.5" with rear coil conversion. Does anybody have any recommendations on where to get it installed? Or would anybody be willing to help install it themselves? Just trying to figure out the best course of action.

Also, I'll be in the northern Utah area. Going to be staying with friends in Salt Lake.
Thanks for any input everybody.

There's always Jack-It. They are decent, although they don't sell Clayton.

I would also recommend Sexton.....I've really enjoyed dealing with them on my truck.

I've had good experience with Fat Bob's. They were the only shop i would trust to align my JKUR when I had it, and they always treated me right.

I have had good interactions with Sexton, but have never had them do anything for me. They are true offroad people and race at KOH. They are very knowledgeable about XJ's too as the owner has had one and built it.

I have purchased a good deal of items from Cruiser Outfitters with great luck. They are mostly Toyota based, but i am sure they can get Jeep stuff too. Everything I have bought was ARB, or non vehicle specific to date.

I have hear good things about Skippy on here, and All Jeep, i bought a tuner from him for my JKUR.

My dad has used 4 Wheel Parts to do a Limited Slip install in the past with good luck. I don't have personal experience with them doing any work on my rig though, and my dad used them over 10 years ago for his install.

If you want to stay in and around SLC, I would hit up Sexton and Skippy (All Jeep) and see what they can do for you.

Thank you everyone for the input! I'm going to try and contact Sexton and see what they say. I'd much rather do the work myself, so worst case scenario I just want until I get to California to do it.

Thanks Greg! I'll give them a shout and see what they've got to say. It's looking like I might just spend that labor cost on new tools though. Still waiting on a reply from Sexton, also.
