You forgot to add another option in there for "Third party" we should not have a 2 party system and I wouldn't vote for either one of those two idiots if you put a gun to my head and told me I had to :)

McCain/Palin for me. But I don't think they suck... I think they are bad at running against Obama because they are trying to be truthful and I think it's hurting them. Obama is a very good front man and I think that has fuelled his campaign. But I think in the end shifty will lose...

Not only that, but who the hell wants to go into a socialist economy/lifestyle?

There are two votes for Obama... I'd like to know why those people are voting for him. Not to call them names, but just to find out their thought process why this guy is the right guy for the job.

Wayne,

Your such a miserable critic.

What else would one possibly want to know other than "Yes we can" and "Change we can believe in". If you can't get on board with that, then you just ain't American.

I agree. The reason I think McCain sucks though is because of some of the policies he's put his name on. McCain/Fiengold, McCain/Lieberman, McCain/Kennedy... All of these, in my opinion, show McCain's true colors. Like I said, I agree with you that the McCain/Palin ticket is the best choice, but only because McCain is the lesser of two evils. Plus, Governor Palin is hot;)

I don't really see that as a 'bad thing' though. I see it as McCain not voting on issues as a republican and only as a republican. I think it's more of him voting based on his beliefs.

I do have to say, and I'm kind of ashamed of it, that I think this second round on the bailout, I think McCain voted for it because of his campaign... I don't believe he was in support of it again. I really think lately he has been pandering to win votes. I think McCain showed his truer (is that a word) colors in the beginning and throughout his carreer. I feel the same for Obama, but 1 year really isn't a career... ;) But it definately does show where Obama rides on issues...

Tacoma,

You make a great point. Never figured out why so many here in Utah are so deadset against socialists when the law of concecration is socialism at its extreme. Everyone donate to the pot and take out what you need. I would think Obama would win big in Utah...go figure.

OLD VERSION:

The ant works hard in the withering heat all summer long, building his house and laying up supplies for the winter.

The grasshopper thinks the ant is a fool and laughs and dances and plays the summer away. Come winter, the ant is warm and well fed.

The grasshopper has no food or shelter, so he dies out in the cold.

MORAL OF THE STORY: Be responsible for yourself!

MODERN VERSION:
The ant works hard in the withering heat all summer long, building his house and laying up supplies for the winter.

The grasshopper thinks the ant is a fool and laughs and dances and plays the summer away.

Come winter, the shivering grasshopper calls a press conference and demands to know why the ant should be allowed to be warm and well fed while others are cold and starving.

CBS, NBC, PBS, CNN, and ABC show up to provide pictures of the shivering grasshopper next to a video of the ant in his comfortable home with a table filled with food. America 's stunned by the sharp contrast.

How can this be, that in a country of such wealth, this poor grasshopper is allowed to suffer so?

Kermit the Frog appears on Oprah with the grasshopper, and everybody cries when they sing, 'It's Not Easy Being Green.'

Jesse Jackson stages a demonstration in front of the ant's house where the news stations film the group singing, 'We shall overcome.' Jesse then has the group kneel down to pray to God for the grasshopper's sake.

Nancy Pelosi & Osama Obama exclaimin an interview with Larry King that the ant has gotten rich off the back of the grasshopper, and both call for an immediate tax hike on the ant to make him pay his fair share.

Finally, the EEOC drafts the Economic Equity & Anti-Grasshopper Act retroactive to the beginning of the summer.

The ant is fined for failing to hire a proportionate number of green bugs and, having nothing left to pay his retroactive taxes, his home is confiscated by the government.

Hillary gets her old law firm to represent the grasshopper in a defamation suit against the ant, and the case is tried before a panel of federal judges that Bill Clinton appointed from a list of single-parent welfare recipients.

The ant loses the case.

The story ends as we see the grasshopper finishing up the last bits of the ant's food while the government house he is in, which just happens to be the ant's old house, crumbles around him because he doesn't maintain it.

The ant has disappeared in the snow.

The grasshopper is found dead in a drug related incident and the house, now abandoned, is taken over by a gang of spiders who terrorize the once peaceful neighborhood.

MORAL OF THE STORY: Be careful how you vote in 2008

Liberals always want us as a nation to look and compare ourselves to other nations. which I have always thought was lame, but Maybe we should.... we as a nation have had recent struggles and I believe many of them struggles are due to the slow shift into socialism that we have made. Examples Unearned Income tax credit, and Affordable Housing for people who should have rented until they could afford a home of there own.

Take a Look at other Nations, they have struggled for decades with there socialism and many are shifting more towards capitalism in a ditch effort to rescue there way of life.

My Father has abandoned his "John Lennon" belief in socialism, and my sister (whom I care about dearly and love) is an admitted socialist and you can Imagine who she is voting for......Obama.

You dont have a "Dont care" option.

I am not voting this year. My vote doest count anyway since I am not a right-wing bible thumping republican and the state we live in is.

I think they are all liars and thieves and they wont make any changes unless it suits them financially. I could go on and on with my opinions but it doesnt matter, my one lonely voice wouldnt ever get heard no matter what cute catchphrase P-Diddy or Nicole Ritchie or some other hollywood crack slut ever comes up with.

I wont vote for a president who thinks his christian beliefs are his foreign policy. Or a person who thinks it is wrong for a girl who got raped and impregnated by her father to have an abortion.
Or a person who wants to take money from my pocket to give it to a lazy bum who accepted the lower end of life but wants all the nicer things without having to work for them.

The system is screwed up and it always will be, I refuse to even waste my time with it.
