Some US Marshalls go to a mental institution on an island to investigate a missing person.. and get stuck there for a hurricane. Alright. Nice creepy old buildings, 1950's settings, some WW2 references. I like, I like.
I can't say too much about the plot without giving things away, but it suffices to say that if you have watched a LOT of movies, the plot convention will be familiar to you, BUT!! they do a very good, very entertaining job with it.
I was not fond of some twisting of historical truth, but that's to be expected from leftist swine like DiCaprio and Scorcese I suppose. At any rate, it was a minor irritation. The rest of the movie, I enjoyed.
Do watch if you are a fan of clever psychological thrillers, movies about insane asylums and/or crazy people. Do not watch if you don't like those things. Pretty much sums up my recommendations.
I'll give this one a 9/10 on the Tacoma Scale of Movie Enjoyment. It wasn't too long, wasn't full of stupidity, and had some cleverness. Thumbs up.
