Redbox review: THE BOX

Well, what to say. Strange little movie. I liked it! Mysterious, ambiguous ending, and it kept NOT telling you everything the whole time. I liked that a lot! Sick and tired of movies spoon-feeding you the obvious.

Suburban VA couple, guy works at NASA, she works at a posh private school, weirdo with mysterious box appears: Press the button, you get a million bucks, but someone, somewhere, dies. It gives little away to say that the button is pushed, but what happens AFTER? What is with the nosebleeds? And the hotel? And the parties?

This didnt' feel rushed, or too slow, or anything like that. Lots of questions unanswered, but it doesn't take anything away from the flick at all, they just... dont' tell you every little bit. I can dig that.

Solid 95 Tacoma points. Didn't dislike a damn thing about this movie at all.

So I watched this movie last night as well. But I was less thrilled with it than you. Really great acting and really well done movie. BUT, every time you expect a little glimpse into what is going to happen, something else happens to make it even more confusing. And the ending was even more frustrating.

Bottom line, I was hoping for a little more explanation into their conspiracy theories for the movie, and was a little disappointed that I actually had to think.

It was alright. I was a little disappointed in the casting. But that has nothing to do with the story. I actually like the short film that is similar better.
