Any one out there register a propane converted vehicle for the road? It seems like most convert a buggy but what about a road worthy vehicle? I'm not to worried about the emissions more of the safety.

I have found that in California you have to use registered shops for the conversion. Pretty lame.

Thanks for any info.

ummmm IF you have to do anything you'll have to take it to your county's emissions place. Call them and tell them what you did and ask them what you have to do.

ummmmmmm - DONE that and they were as helpful as your post.

Just looking for some first hand experience. I assumed that some bureaucrat would of mandated some crazy safety standard but I guess I am looking to much into it...

Well maybe if you gave the slightest hint at where you live other than Utah I could give you a better answer. My bet would be that you just have to get it tested as usual, propane is supposed to burn cleaner after all.

I'll be running dual fuel (Propane & gas) on my scout & I've heard that it doesn't matter so long as it passes. I had also heard it runs much cleaner on Propane so if the carb isn't dialed in switch over and run the IM test again:D
